The Story of White Knights EMS Motorcycle Club: Helping Riders Worldwide
The Beginning
The White Knights EMS Motorcycle Club started on July 3, 1998, thanks to Jack Baker, a retired paramedic from Toronto, Canada. Jack began his career working for a funeral home that ran ambulances before becoming a trained paramedic. He always helped people in need, often stopping to assist those stranded on the side of the road.
One life-changing event inspired Jack’s idea for the club. During a motorcycle group ride with his wife, Rita, another rider crashed. Jack quickly acted, providing CPR to the rider and treating their passenger’s injuries until help arrived. That day, Jack realized the need for medically trained motorcyclists to assist others in emergencies, especially in remote areas where ambulances cannot respond quickly.
The Mission
Jack wanted to form a team of first responders who rode motorcycles, ready to provide help during accidents. He set the club’s main goals:
- Provide First Aid: Help motorcyclists in emergencies, especially in hard-to-reach places.
- Promote Safety: Teach riders safe motorcycle practices to reduce accidents.
- Educate on First Aid: Share knowledge about CPR and first aid, adapted for motorcycle crashes.
Leadership and Growth
- 2012: Sadly, Jack Baker passed away after a battle with cancer. He left behind a lasting legacy, and his funeral was honored with a full police escort.
- 2009: Denis Barnea joined the club. Denis was passionate about the group’s mission and quickly became a leader, organizing events, coordinating members, and helping the club grow.
- 2025: Alexandru Moruz assumed leadership of the club, continuing Jack’s vision with renewed energy. Under Alexandru’s guidance, the White Knights carry forward their commitment to brotherhood, emergency aid, and motorcycle safety on a global scale.
